Circus Vargas presents Steam Cirque

Goggles, gears, and gadgets set the stage for 2017’s retro-futuristic production, Steam Cirque! Meet and mingle with the entire cast after each performance. Capture the fun by posing for pics or selfies with your favorite cast members, all part of an unforgettable Circus Vargas experience!

February 4

Love Your Wetlands Day

The Kendall-Frost/Northern Wildlife Reserve in the northeast corner of Mission Bay Park is the only remaining saltwater wetland in Mission Bay and is normally closed to the public due to its fragile nature. This annual event is one of the few opportunities for the public to actually visit the wetland.
9am – 4pm at 2055 Pacific Beach Drive, San Diego.

San Diego Fermentation Festival

Celebrating Food, Culture, Knowledge, and Community. Features a Makers Marketplace showcasing the southern California bounty of artisanal food makers and brewers, an Ambrosia Garden (21+) featuring fermented adult beverages such as mead, beer, kombucha and wine, workshops and presentations, Wellness Pavilion with yoga classes, live music and entertainment.

Come From Away Gala

This event will feature a cocktail reception with COME FROM AWAY creators David Hein and Irene Sankoff, as a celebration of Artistic Director Christopher Ashley’s 10th Anniversary at La Jolla Playhouse and the 70th Anniversary of the Playhouse’s founding, as well as a special concert performance of La Jolla Playhouse’s world-premiere musical with Broadway-bound cast!

Mitchell Thorp Foundation 5K Walk/Run

Lake Poway Youth Fishing Derby

Fishing, prizes, entertainment, games, casting contest, a free barbecue lunch and more! Freshly stocked with 3,000 pounds of rainbow trout, the lake will be open only to ages 15 and younger.

San Diego Miniatures Show & Sale

Exhibits, sales and classes designed for crafters, artists and collectors of dollhouse size miniatures. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced miniaturist, you’re sure to find something that suits your fancy with our two floors of quarter, half-inch and one-inch scale miniatures.

Cardiff Kook 5K/10K Run

The scenic loop starts and finishes under the famous “Encinitas” sign, passes by the Cardiff Kook statue on Coast HWY 101, rises above some of the most popular surf breaks in San Diego and then make its way down to Cardiff State Beach.

San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society Winter Show and Sale

Over 40 vendors from all over Southern Cal and Arizona and show plants to wow you highlighting winter growers. Members may show early from 9 to 10 (memberships sold at the door for $15). Thousands attend so come early and bring some boxes for your purchases – we provide a limited amount.

Sandbag Give-A-Way Event

Residents must provide photo identification and show proof of residency. A water bill or electric bill is acceptable, which shows the customers address. 10 sandbags will be given for each address/property (while supply lasts). Residents must self-load and transport the sandbags.

Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo

Sample and purchase hundreds of products, meet with local and national brands, receive coupons, and attend informative presentations by top-notch speakers. While all products at the Expo are gluten free, many are also free from the top 8 allergens. There is also a dedicated nut-free section.

February 12

Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

In its 7th year, the event has earned a great reputation for its attention to detail, race management, and an awesome post-race party at Tidelands Park & McP’s.

February 16

East County Honors Awards Gala

Honors businesses and individuals for their accomplishments and recognizes the tremendous and lasting impact they’ve made on our community. Serves as a fundraiser, raising money to fund community programs and services supported by the Chamber throughout the year.

5K Paw Walk in the Garden
