Increases across the board during May! We saw an increase in the total sales volume in existing condos, townhomes and an increase in detached homes when compared to last month. May posted a 17.35% increase in detached homes and posted a 20.88% increase in attached (condos, and townhomes) single family properties when compared to total sales volume in April 2013. When compared to those in May of 2012, detached homes posted a very healthy double digit increase of 31.76% and also attached homes posted a 37.11% increase in total sales volume.

Year-to-Date Median sale prices continue to rise and ended up higher from those in May of 2012 for detached homes at $430,000 a 19.05% increase and again higher for condos and townhomes at $275,000 a 30.95% increase.

As a reminder, the above numbers represent condos and detached homes that closed escrow during the month of May 2013 and most have actually been taken of the market during March or April.
