For the second straight month, during May median prices for attached homes increased by 13.33% while median prices for detached homes also increased slightly by 1.49% compared to those of the previous month. The total number of homes sold during May remained almost flat compared to the number of homes that sold during May 2008. May is the first month in a while in which the median price for condos and townhomes increased by double digits.

As a reminder, these numbers represent condos and detached homes that closed escrow during the month of May and have actually been taken of the market during March or April.
