Record for Most Expensive Luxury Home Sold in San Diego

As a follow up on my last blog entry about luxury home sales in San Diego keep strong, last week on May 30th a Del Mar Ocean Front property close escrow on a record for San Diego County most expensive sales price of $35 million. It easily surpassed the previous sale record of $25 million that was set in 2000 for another luxury home also in Del Mar.

This 5,204 square foot luxury home which includes 120 feet beachfront is part of a four adjacent parchel sale for a compined total sales price of close to $50 million. The other three ocean front homes involved were sold for a compined $13.15 million.

No matter what we hear on the TV stations who want to create news on a slow newsday about the real estate market dip in San Diego, actual sales figures show that the luxury home market, especially ocean front real estate in San Diego keeps getting stronger.
