Come and enjoy the excitement of a circus with illustrious human and animal stars rendering artistic triumphs and thrilling exploits. See silly clowns, trampoline acrobatics, a balancing act, aerial ballet, teeterboard spectacle, dog & cat performances, and more.

2/02 – 27th Super Run, 10K Run, & 5K Run/Walk
Get ready to kick off the Super Bowl weekend with some exercise! You can choose between a 10K Super Run or a 5K Run/Walk. Divisions and teams will vary depending on age and gender. The beauty of the bay can instill a feeling to kick up the pace!

2/02 – Handcycling in San Diego
Persons with physical disabilities (age 8-adult) can join a group and pedal a handcycle at Mission Bay Park today. Handcycling is a great way to meet people, enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and build strength and endurance. It’s more fun to go in a group!

2/02 – Fed Cup by BNP Paribas – USA vs Germany
This event is a highly prestigious and patriotic flag-waving tennis championship! Fed Cup Ties have been played in all corners of the world, and it’s the highest honor given for a tennis player to make the team. It’s a privilege to have the event in San Diego.
Time 11:00 am – 9:00 pm – Location: La Jolla.

2/03 – 5th Annual Red Trolley Classic Criterium
Around and around they go! Amateur and professional cyclists from all over the region will compete at this popular racing event in Mira Mesa. Fast-paced cyclists will ride a 7-mile looped course on neighborhood streets. Medals and money will be awarded to the top finishers.

2/03 – Flower Show (Camellias)
A flower show in Balboa Park will display beautiful and exquisite camellias. Camellias are an ornamental greenhouse shrub with glossy leaves and rose-like flowers. They look gorgeous in painted ceramic pots.

2/05 – 13th Annual Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras
In celebration of Fat Tuesday, an adult-oriented Mardi Gras will come alive in the Gaslamp with parades, glitter, bangles, and beads. You’ll mingle and dance in masked revelry to great jazz sounds, feast on Cajun foods, and sip frosty beer.

2/05 – 6th Annual Mardi Gras (Hillcrest)
Hillcrest is alive with an exciting adult-oriented Mardi Gras festival! So, come for the fun by dressing up in colorful attire and joining the crowd. Dance in the street to electrifying music, visit craft booths, much on tasty appetizers, or hang out at the beer garden and mingle about.

2/06 – 22nd Annual Chinese New Year Celebration
A celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year will simultaneously take place in the late evening at two locations on University Avenue. It’s the Year of the Rat! It will be celebrated with Chinese music, good cheer, and an exciting performance of the Lion Dance amid crackling firecrackers.

2/07 – 7th Annual Mile of Men
Ladies, here’s your chance to pick a date for Valentine’s Day! Approximately 100 single available men will line up along Convoy Street holding up numbered signs. All you have to do is drive by, pick out a man that attracts you, write down his number, and call it in to the Jeff & Jer radio station.

2/08 – 3rd Annual Lunar New Year Tet Festival
The “Tet” is a celebration of the Lunar New Year and is the most observed holiday of Vietnamese descent. The “Year of the Rat” will be celebrated with an ancestral homage ritual, games, of Vietnam, carnival rides, food, music, and costumed performances.

2/09 – USA Cross Country Championships
This event will feature the top junior and senior cross country runners from across the country. These athletes will compete for the title of Cross Country Champion and fill a space on the U.S. team that will compete at the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland.

2/09 – Ray at Night
San Diego’s largest monthly art walk will be happening along Ray Street. Merchants will offer shoppers an opportunity to discover North Park businesses, shops, and art galleries. Each
one features different artwork in a variety of mediums.

2/09 – Valentine’s Dance
Teens and adults with disabilities are welcome to bring a date or friend to this dance or come to make new friends. Dress to impress, and enjoy the decorations and DJ music.

2/10 – Fiesta Island Time Trial Series
Cyclists are coming to Fiesta Island to compete at cycling. The event offers professional, recreational, and young riders an ideal location to experience competitive cycling in a safe and controlled environment.

2/10 – Little Italy Winter Stickball
The game of stickball will be held on a street in Little Italy. It’s traditional origin is from Italy where youths play the game on neighborhood streets as a recreational sport. The game is
played when opposing teams use sticks to maneuver a ball to opposite sights to score for points.

2/13 – Ocean Beach Certified Farmer’s Market
You’re welcome to browse and shop at this farmer’s market in Ocean Beach where a large array of groceries and goodies are offered. Featured items include fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, flowers, breads, crafts, and specialty treats. Musical performances will entertain you while you shop.

This 5K run/walk is hosted by the California Western School of Law to raise funds for its students who have been diagnosed with cancer. While offering outdoor exercise at beautiful La Jolla Cove, the event will also have a post event celebration with awards, entertainment, and refreshments.
