Last week sales on the Terra Vista condos in Otay Ranch, Chula Vista were resumed after almost a year. Apparently due to overall market conditions in South Bay San Diego combined with high prices, Terra Vista condos sales slowed down so much in 2006 that the developer had to turn the project back to the lender sometime during October or November of 2006 – that was the last time the phone number on the developer’s sales signs was active.

Since then I received quite a few calls from prospective buyers who were inquiring about Terra Vista condos. Back in November of 2006 I had contacted the developer who told me that the lender had taken over the project and that sales would resume sometime during January of 2007. Last month I received a call from someone who identified themselves as being a representative from Terra Vista Condos who told me that sales would resume in November of 2007 and last week I received a call from their sales office that sales had indeed resumed. After a short conversation with their sales person who updated me about the project I requested a new price list be sent to me so I could update my clients. A week later that new price list still has not being received which makes me question the seller’s motivation about selling the Terra Vista condos.

Today I received two calls – one from a colleague Realtor and one from a prospective buyer who inquired about the new pricing at Terra Vista condos (apparently whomever is using the web to find info about the project somehow ends up with my phone number). Looks like that this coming week I will have to stop by the Terra Vista sales office and after I pick up their new price list I will be able to update the Terra Vista condos page as well as I will have an answer for those calling to request information on the project, so keep tuned for updates…
