Hillcrest is a colorful, lively, hip and diverse urban community that resembles more that of a quaint village and is pedestrian-friendly just north of downtown San Diego, California. It is one of the first San Diego’s suburbs. As you enter Hillcrest from University Avenue, the first thing you will notice is the restored Hillcrest sign which is one of the many fixtures that gives this community a unique character. A few minutes drive to the north off of Interstate 163 are the upscale Fashion Valley Mall and the Mission Valley Mall where you can find everything from upper end department stores, outlet stores to varieties of eateries and restaurants.
